It just wouldn't be right....

Dear Lord it has been eleven days since my last post...... Wow how time flies when you have several Christmas parties, bbqs, and just general shannanigans around this festive season. It just wouldnt be right if I didnt do the obligatory Christmas post. Yes, I have queued , bustled and waited for car parks with the best of them. I have cooked, roasted and baked - not to mention the cleaning. I have wrapped , written and posted. It is a nuts time of year.

Especially when your daughter picks her christmas trinkets with her father.

I feel exactly the same way I did last year at christmas so although I am sure there will be alot of you reading this will disagree with me ( horses for courses ).

Merry Christmas!!

technical hitch

I have been a little slack on the blogging front as of late because everything seems to have hit a glitch. Couldn't charge the camera. Optus kept suspending our phone due to their own billing mistakes. Every time I got on the computer I was strangely compelled to search through Facebook for the Australian netball team.

I know - strange but true. My blogging was pushed to the wayside just so I could get a glimpse of Liz Ellis....

Trying not to freak out that my forever fagging father was in hospital with all sorts of breathing/lung/tumour issues - deciding if this was the right time in my life to get addicted to some sort of anxiety relaxant and it be totally justified!?!

Lots of christmas excitement going on - although we temporarily lost the tree and then the box of decorations.
Christmas Carols and morning teas have definately made up for that.

What is it with this time of year and morning teas?????

I shouldn't really complain as I never say no to some cheesecake and home made slice ( even if it is before 11.00 am)

Anyhoo also trying my hand at some bunting for Christmas pressies.

Whatdya think???? Just ignore the smudges on the tv - how do people photograph bunting so well???

Off on a date tonight with my husband - hooowwww romantic .... hoping it won't be some last minute christmas shopping at chaddy then some misery and salmonella from the food court.

Im sure we can do better than that!

It's a Bake Off

What do you do when you are stressing about all things Christmas.... For example all those Christmas presents and allllll those expenses that comes with dinners and do's and trying to still get into the spirit of things.

Well I baked.

Nothing like some vanilla cupcakes with buttercream icing to make you feel better.

Pre that little bake off there was the Humming bird cake. (with cream cheese frosting)

oooooohhh and if only I could take proper snaps to show how tasty and good they were.

I could show the dimples on my thighs as proof but that could be pushing the friendship.
