Do you remember these??

Today as I drove past my local op shop I saw THIS in the Window. Remember???? How Sweeeeeet! I cannot find my memory card for my phone so I can't even take my own picture of it.
So here is someone elses
About A year ago I bought the whole kenner family tree house on ebay for $80.00. Bit nuts I know but I was desperate to have one. I justified it to myself that my kids would love it as much as I did as a kid.Well they don't - infact they barely play with it even though though it takes pride of place on their shelf in their room.

See don't even have another picture to show!

This one from the op shop was five bucks!! Wooohhhhhooooo!! It was just the shell but I will eventually track down all the pieces/family etc and give it to my best friend as a surprise - she shares my love for this green piece of plastic.

And I don't have to worry about her finding out as she refuses to read my blog. She likens it too reading my diary and can't bring herself to do it. Ha surprise for her!!

What were your fave childhood toys?????

I loved this as a kid too! Especially the way that the tree closed up. I can't believe that your kids don't love it!! I found a new one at the Magnolia Square Market in Brighton earlier this year, BUT they were waaaay too expensive!

I gotta admit though that my absolute favourite was the Fisher Price 1973 Little People Village, the one with the shops, barber, post office, and siren... Loved it!

I really wanted one of these but my parents would never buy me one. I knew a girl in my class had one so I became her very best friend so I could go to her place and play with it. I'm like that, you know.

OMG
This was my favourite toy in.the.world.

For some reason I thought it was a berenstain bears treehouse and have been looking/searching for it as that.

I'm going to ebay and will pay whatever is required.

Am.so.excited.

oh man they were SOOOOOO cool! I would shell out $80 too. Childhood toys, hmmm....strawberry shortcake dolls. I had a whole bunch but the only other name I can remember of one is lemon meringue pie. I actually still have them...and yes they still smell.

As a child I would covet colourful plastic toys, especially ones like these. All the "townies" had them. The also had beaded curtains instead of doors, and Hobbytex.

Loved, loved, loved the Family Treehouse !! Played with some prissy chick's one down the street. She had a Baby Alive too.

My parents so didn't take care of me in the coveted toy stakes.

I can't remember one cool toy I owned that anyone else wanted. That sucks.

I so totally wanted the Treehouse too. All the begging and whining in the world did not sway my parents however. So unfortunate, I just know my life would have been so complete if only I had gotten one instead of that maroon polyester jumper. (Which I refused to wear and my mother still goes on about it to this day.)

Here's to Ebay, babee!

Ohhhh. Haven't thought about it for ages! I wonder if I still have mine. At the folks place, of course...
I think I broke the ladder. Or my rough cousin who came over and broke my toys broke it. Thanks Rachel. We're not close. Anymore.
Thanks for the reminder of happy times with tree-shaped plastic. No wonder I love trees.
