The Adventures of .... Trude and Pru

Dear Pru
Hope Norrsa is fab. The Market is diviarne. The shirts are getting a great response especially nnorw Im wearing one - sooo glad we increased the collar by 1cm - when you wear it up it looks sooo much better. Some new retailers around, this nnuuew stall holder Aunty Cookie is sooooo busy she does goorrgeous little drawings and fabric. Darl she says to just relax? Anyway Jane and the girls from the tennis club are here so I'll send you another email soon. Darl I am getting so tarred that I'll have to go up to the house in Norrsa once its all over.

Trude xx

Ok so I am being a little cheeky but after my stint at Magnolia Square I think I earned the right! Shan's stall was looking hot and it was great fun meeting some other bloggers. Kind of weird knowing so much about peoples lives and then seeing them in the flesh - and even if this was slighlty stalkerish of me I recognised Jo from jelly babys' kids before I even saw her. So lovely to meet Jodie,Annie (even if they were the craziest!!!!)Jo,Bec, Cathy and Stacey. Apparently Miss H&B popped by but the hooch didnt say Hi!!!! Anyhoo, life will be getting back to normal a bit now because after two trade fairs and Magnolia Square I am a little tired of smiling all the time not to mention missing my husband and kids etc yadayadayada.Looking forward to catching up with some friends and filling some new wholesale orders ... but more of that later.

omg! Joanne did I meet you? I was having such a vague day, the kids had my hands full, and I was feeling kind-of over-whelmed... I bet I did meet you - (scrambling madly through mental images of yesterday!) remind me again which one you were.

Next time I will remember to ask for names instead of just assuming that I know who certain people are (blush) I am so embarrassed.

xx

Excellent Trude impersonation!

I thought the market was very good. Aunty Cookie's stall looked great. I didn't realise you were there! I did speak to Shannon though.

Okay, so now I feel all left out. Where do us Sydney-siders go to check out all the bloggers at crafty fairs?

I wondered who all the chicks were behind the counter - one of them offered help, but she said "are yoo awright there luv?!" and offended my Pru&Trde sensibilities.

Well, not entirely Tru, but someone did offer help, but I wanted to talk to the Star herself, not one of her minions.

Harsh.

I was the shortarse with the bump, pointing out the lamp in the AuntyCookie fabric i've done nothing with, and conferring with a bloke with an annoying 3yr old in his arms, wanting to 'go now'

I wish i'd got to hang around a bit. Also didn't want to hamper the real sales, of which were thick on the ground - go you girls !

Thanks so much for the Trude post - it was SO like that at the market! And I'm SO glad that others thought so too! I think that I met you (sorry I didn't introduce myself either)! I'm amazed at the number of bloggers...Shannon's stall was fantastic!

I'm with M, nothing like this is going on in Sydney - is it?

Sounds like you had some great exposure - for your saleable goods of course (still, that also sounds a bit wrong doesn't it? Oh well, bit brain dead tonight).

hello, you need to meet some of the people from my work. The ones that bump into me in Malvern and say "what are yoouuuuuu doing here?" Then I respond with "I grew up in Malvern" and then like a smart allec ask "what are yooouu doing here?" Must tell you what I thought was hilarious at the fair... mother and daughter beautifully manicured and dressed in twin sets walking in with matching round baskets!!!!

Bugger, I missed you. But oh yes, Shannon just said Pru and Trude and I said, daaahling, I don't even need to ask you what you mean because I know. It was actually very, very funny and I couldn't walk past without giggling. And turning up my collar. And popping on my pearls. And growing my hair into a bob. But that Auntie Cookie, she was Faaaaabulous.
